Mohammed Ayyad was fortunate to live the days of prosperity prior to the occupation, though not long afterwards suffered with the rest of the family and the country the loss of all personal wealth and means of basic comfort and survival, with the exception of the passion and encouragement of two dedicated parents, and loving siblings. Through persistence, and a will not to disappoint his father, he continued on to college with a goal to pursue Medical school, but due to the then limited personal and family financial assets as mentioned, stopped short from that, earning his degree in Chemistry and Biology, where his path soon after guided him to the -then cutting edge- field of polymer and plastics engineering (1960s).
Not very long after, and with the
counsel of his older brother,
At the young age of 64, he was diagnosed
with a malignant tumor which was removed on the remembrance day of his
birth of 2001. The malignancy was successfully suppressed via treatments
for three years, until an event took place which triggered the
reoccurrence of the tumor, eventually leading to his passing-over on the
twenty-third day of October 2003; not long after sharing with his older
son, Raed, the following comment: "I hope that you do understand During the last three years of his life, Mohammed Ayyad was showered with the attention, support, and abundant love of all those whom he had touched their lives, ranging from family and friends, medical staff, to casual acquaintances and even people he never met, until the last moment when he left this realm while in the peaceful act of sleeping at roughly two o'clock in the morning, to join many awesome loved ones whom lead the way ahead of the living to the stars. A handsome intelligent persistent achiever and perfectionist, an athlete, a teacher, a classy business man, but above all... a sensitive friend, father and excellent cook, with admittedly the most beautiful smile! His memory shall survive forever in the minds of the living... A man who left his everlasting imprint on this life, and certainly will not be forgotten.
