Dearest Naim:

Although your gratitude is appreciated and very humbling to us, it is not necessary at all... for we should be the ones to thank YOU and YOUR TEAM for the great work that you do, giving hope and support to "victims" of one of life's contrariness's. If you have any ideas of how we can be more effective in supporting your respectful organization through our family website, then please do not hesitate to contact me personally, or through cousin Ghazwa Ayyad of whom you are already acquainted if I am not mistaken.

Meanwhile, may God bless you all.
R. Ayyad

My dearest R....

I am speechless and in tears as I have just found the "Ayyad Website".  I have prayed for healing and now it comes right to my e-mail...technology and soul all wrapped up together!!!  R., I would love to talk with you.  You have blessed me many times and there is still too much distance between us so maybe we can work on closing that gap.  The picture of your mom and my friend, was beautiful and really made me cry.  I did e-mail with her some time ago and it was just great to hear from her and that she sounded happy...as she deserves.  I am so proud of you, R..  I wish I had time now but I have to go pick up one of the girls soon.  We now have 2 in high school and 2 in college...wallahi, I am getting old (but not in spirit!). And I was so glad to see you there next to [your mom]...so darned handsome!  You know I love you and am very eager to hear from you or e-mail me your phone number (and best times to talk) and I would be very glad to call you.

All I can say now is THANK YOU for this labor of love.

Allah Maak,
A.

Translations: Arabic "Wallahi": God is my witness // "Allah": God // "Maak": With you; Be with you

Beloved Cousin:

I can not describe to you in words the euphoria I felt after reading your e-mail. I am grateful for all the kind and sincere feelings that you shared specially about me being handsome!! J and you can expect that I will be contacting you by phone by the end of this week (In sha'Allah). Thank you for letting me know that this effort is achieving its intended objectives, and that it has not gone unnoticed.

Ciao Bella!
R.

"... Congratulations on this very powerful work"!

Congratulations to this very powerful work, please send my greetings to R.
I have few comments:

1) This website SHOULD be in arabic to reflect the origin of your family, because the target people who are interested are Arabs.
2) The first page is tooooo huge and lots of information (needed and not needed), what I do prefer is to make few links for the visitor to any of these subjects.
3) Few links are not related to the subject (it is difficult to me to decide now).

Hope to find my comments as valuable as I expect.

Dearest Mr. Mushtaha:

I tremendously appreciate your feedback .  A few clarifications in return, in regards to your three points…

  1. I would like to start by sharing that: "Kuluna Min Adam, Wa Adam Min Turab".  Arabs, and certainly Palestinians KNOW who the Ayyad’s are, and are fairly familiar with the history of our motherland! But we have to also realize that since we come from such a large, and diverse family, that there are American’s, Swedish, Pakistani’s, and German’s to say the least whom have the Ayyad blood flowing through their veins too, and that Ayyad’s are not only Moslems, but we also have Christian Ayyad brethren and sisters in Palestine, and all over the world regardless of the percent ratio: "La farqa Baina Arabi Wala A'jami Illa Biltaqwa" -Mohammed peace be upon him.

In regards to choosing English as the primary language of the site, allow me to share the fact that practically 100% of computers in the world are English language compatible, and relatively a small percent utilize their Arabic language compatibility by default…. My goal obviously is complete exposure... hence the English choice vs. the Arabic.

  1. The “Café Central” page is just like a café… there are all kinds of general discussions and views that take place, and each patron seeks and joins the discussion group that interests them… hence the name of the page “Café Central”; if the visitor has a specific interest, then they can visit one of the specialty pages such as “About Us”, “Featured Views”…etc. To add, the “Café Central” page is a very dynamic page, always undergoing changes and modifications as you might have already observed; also note that the page serves primarily as a central launching point for other pages or sites, thus all the links (Kind-of like the front page of a news paper).

  1. In regards to your third suggestion, “Few links are not related to the subject”, I would appreciate a clarification,  for there are many subjects, and the decision to what is important depends on the grand-picture of issues and events taking place in our private, public, religious, historical, scientific and political lives at the time. It is important to note that Our Family Website is intended to be a very dynamic and changing site (as it is with life), on the seeming contrary to many family sites that seem to be fairly static and monotonic targeting the local and addressing primarily the past; where our site is global and active (like our family today), with an emphasis and direct connection to our motherland and culture (Palestine), and addresses the past, present, and the future.

As declared by Our Mission Statement: “It is our quest at Ayyad Central to preserve our unique yet diverse culture, and to promote personal and collective growth through understanding and taking action. Our focus is the UNBIASED TRUTH -no more, no less.”

One of the primary purposes of our website is to educate ALL masses including but not limited to the Western and Eastern branches of our family about our COLLECTIVE cultures and ongoing important GLOBAL experiences and issues in relation to our native Palestinian culture; not to exclude the fact that any Ayyad or Ayyad relation whom uses a PC most likely understands at-least English, if not Arabic, French, Spanish, German and a few other languages! J…  God… that makes me proud to be an Ayyad!... The beauty is in the diversity... just like in flowers, if you see what I mean.

Once again, I sincerely appreciate the time and efforts of which you have invested to provide us with your valuable feedback, and we truly look forward to further future contributions from you behalf.

Your friend,
R. Ayyad
